Job Purpose:
CBU is a Roman Catholic comprehensive institution in the tradition of the Christian Brothers. CBU's Department of Religion and Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in Religious Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning fall 2010.
Job Description:
The department has specific needs for candidates with teaching strengths in Roman Catholic theology and history. Four course semester teaching load with usual non-teaching responsibilities, and full participation in the department and university are expected. The teaching assignment is primarily for courses in CBU's undergraduate core in Religious Studies, but qualified candidates must be able to teach courses in CBU's M.A. Program in Catholic Studies. Ph.D. is required. CBU is strongly committed to diversity within its faculty and seeks applications from all qualified candidates.
