Position:
Maintenance Technician I
Qualifications:
A high school education and/or two years of experience in general building maintenance. Must have basic skills and theory of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, small gas engines, and automotive mechanics. Also, must have good communication skills and be able to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and have a valid Tennessee driver?s license.

Director of Physical Plant
Job Goals:
To maintain, troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to fixtures and equipment as assigned by work orders or as directed by supervisor. To perform assigned duties with the efficient use of time and materials. To plan out job assignments in advance so as to have the necessary tools and materials prior to starting the job.
Requirements:
Must be able to do repetitive bending, lifting (75 pounds), squatting, and kneeling. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Also, must be able to work in enclosed spaces and at heights (30 feet). Must have good vision, correctable to 20/20 and good manual dexterity to operate necessary tools and equipment without modification.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace lighting fixtures, cover plates, switches, ballasts, and outlets.
- Maintain and repair all gas powered equipment and vehicles.
- Install and cut glass, glaze, repair doors and closures, and install signs.
- Repair valves, faucets, unclog toilets and drains, replace “P-traps”, and other plumbing duties as needed.
- Must clean and maintain all assigned equipment, tools, and areas in a professional workmanlike manner. This includes areas where work orders have been performed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
