Description:
The Instructional Designer has primary responsibility for the presentation and design of curriculum authored by subject matter experts in a technology rich medium. The Instructional Designer will also serve as trainer and resource full full-time and adjunct faculty and other members of the CBU community regarding the use of educational technology associated with various curricular programs. The Instructional Designer will also play a central role in the assessment and revision of online courses.
Minimum Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, from an accredited institution of higher education
- In depth knowledge of instructional design principles and practices
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated high level organizational skills
- A flexible, collaborative approach to relationships and tasks
- Significant experience in design and development of technology-based instructional materials
- Experience in the use of relevant course management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, from an accredited institution of higher education
- Experience in project management and working with teams
- Proven ability to work with faculty members and subject matter experts
