Student Reviews

"My trip to Rome was one of the greatest things I could have asked for.  I learned so much and saw even more.  From priceless works of art to ancient architecture.  My experiences in Rome will stay with me forever."

- Claire Brulatour, Rome, October 2007

"The Rome trip during October '07 fall break week was a quick flash of what study abroad programs can offer you.  It was a great opportunity to enter the world of study abroad, and it gave me a highlight-reel view of what a full semester in Italy would be like.  Upon returning home after participating in a study abroad trip, sharing your experiences with your parents will help to convince them to send you on more international trips offered in the future."

- Kenny Latta, Rome, October 2007

"The trip to England was a lot of fun.  Everyone was very nice and welcoming.  It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend the trip to other students."

- Catherine Wood, England, Spring 2007

"The people were great.  The Study Abroad Office should be proud of themselves for planning such a great trip, and anyone who can afford it should definitely go."

- Chris Ragghianti, England, Spring 2007

"The campus at Edge Hill was beautiful and was well located.  We were within waling distance of the town centre and train station.  The staff at Edge Hill were also very helpful."

- Jessica Gallimore, England, Spring 2007

"Going on CBU's trip to Spain last spring was an amazing experience! Visiting the Salvador Dali museum in Figueres was one of my favorite parts of the trip. Barcelona is a beautiful city! I was amazed at the way Spain has taken the initiative to do their part in cleaning the environment. They have put in place methods of easy recycling and renewable energy. In the short time we spent together in Spain, my eyes were opened to a new world of possibilities."

- Kaci L. Murley, Spain, Spring 2007

"I was amazed to see an historically old culture clash with new technology in order to build a better future. Gaudi meets 'Going Green'."

- Brooks Meadows, Spain, Spring 2007

"The best advice I can give anyone wanting to study abroad is to plan on doing it.  I wish for those even a bit intrigued by the thought of going to Galway, Ireland, or any other place abroad, to make it happen.  This semester has been themost challenging, the most fun, the most eventful and the most splendid of my college career."

- Susan Mohan, National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland, Fall 2006

"My semester abroad in England at Edge Hill University in Ormskirk was quite honestly the best experience of my life. I made international friends as well as American ones with whom I keep in daily contact. This experience opened my eyes to the world, and it helped me to understand how all people are connected - we truly live in a global society.

Because I am a history major, I was truly interested in the evolution and the significance of every place I visited during my stay at Edge Hill University, such as Chester and London, as well as trips to Edinburgh, Scotland; Dublin, Ireland; and the Normandy Coast in France. My courses at Edge Hill even seemed to correspond to my travels. Before I wenty to Edinburgh I read "Dracula", and after I returned from Dublin we read works by Oscar Wilde. I learned so much inside and outside my classroom. I would recommend studying abroad to anyone!"

- Jestein Lamey, England, Fall 2006
