All of our science departments have
student groups
associated with them. These student groups
offer both social and academic activities. They allow you to work together with other students in your disciplines to explore your prospective careers, support one another in your academic endeavors, and form lasting friendships in the process.

In Biology, we have an active chapter of
Beta Beta Beta, the national honor society for biology students. Pictured on the right is the 2006 induction ceremony for Beta Beta Beta.

In Chemistry, we have
the student affiliate of the ACS
(American Chemical Society) which has received an Honorable Metion Award from ACS for last (2006-2007) year, a Commendable Chapter Award from ACS for its activities during the academic year 2004-2005, and Honorable Mention for the year 2003-2004.

In Mathematics, we have
the student chapter of MAA
(the Mathematical Association of America).

In Physics, we have
the student chapter of SPS
(the Society of Physics Students) which has received an Outstanding Chapter Award from SPS for its activities during the 2002-2003, 2003-2004, and 2005-2006 academic years.
