At CBU we have a wide variety of resources to aid the student. Many of these resources are on our world wide web pages - see our
faculty
home pages. Many more are on our intranet site that can be viewed once a student has a CBU ID and password. The human mind is visually oriented, and "seeing is believing" is often true. We have a tremendous store of images available via the internet and intranet for students so that they don't have to depend on just one view from the text. Some of our courses use the Moodle system to provide students with assignments and materials via the web.
There are learning resources in many of our labs, and these are usually open since faculty offices are on the same floor.
We have a Math Center that provides free tutoring in math for students.
In Mathematics for the lower level courses, we use a graphing calculator to help see the math. In upper level courses, we use the Maple system. Our professors have worked with our students and together they have created Maple worksheets on various aspects of math.
In Physics, we have created a whole series of
computer aided homework problems
for the lower level physics courses. These programs have been downloaded by over 700 people outside of CBU.
For help with writing assignments, CBU has a Writing Center.
