Courses being taught:   CHEM 113 (Principles of Chemistry I); CHEM 115 and 115L (General Chemistry & Lab), and CHEM 211L (Organic Chemistry I Lab).

Length of Service at CBU:  Dr. Peer is new this fall (2009).

Formal Education:  Dr. Peer earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.

Professional Interests:  Dr. Peer has worked in industry as a polymer chemist.  His greatest expertise is in water soluable polymers - their synthesis, characterization, manufacture, and applications, especially in water treatment, paper making, paperboard coatings and oil field uses.  Other expertise is in polymers as oil additives, controlled free radical polymerization, block copolymers, styrenics.
