| I'm a 1977 graduate of Mount Holyoke College, with an A.B. degree in Medieval Studies, including a senior thesis on the development of Merlin in Arthurian legend. Feeling the need for practical skills, I completed an M.B.A. with a concentration in Management in 1980 at Memphis State University. After 15 years' working in human resource management, I returned to what was now the University of Memphis, completing a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration in December 2000. All of this goes some way to explaining why I'm teaching interdisciplinary classes, both in the IDS program and on leadership.
