How to Become a Licensed Teacher in Tennessee

Information and Orientation Seminar

If you already have a bachelor’s degree, or just want to learn more about initial teaching licensure in Tennessee, come to our information and orientation seminar.

This information-packed session covers:
• Options at area colleges/universities
• Special admissions requirements for teacher education
• Praxis testing
• Picking a licensure track and the program that is right for you

The seminar is held every Tuesday afternoon, 3:30-5:00 p.m., in Kenrick Hall Room 117 on the CBU campus. Enter off of East Parkway. Ahead of you, you will see two older classroom buildings connected by a skywalk above the driveway. Kenrick Hall is the building to the left. You may park in visitor parking, available in front of Barry Hall, the building on the right. If you are new to the CBU campus, or will arriving from out of town, call (901) 321-4350 for detailed directions to the meeting.

If you live outside of the Memphis area, and are unable to attend this informative meeting, please call us with your complete contact information (full name, mailing address, telephone number, and an email address), or email us at
