Cohen Speaks on Importance of Bill of Rights
Congressman Steve Cohen will speak about the continuing importance of the Bill of Rights at Christian Brothers University (CBU). This lecture will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 in Spain Auditorium.
Congressman Cohen represents the 9th congressional district of Tennessee and currently serves on the House Judiciary Committee. He served in the Tennessee State Senate for 24 years and is known as the "Father of the Tennessee Lottery" after leading the referendum effort to institute the lottery and the Hope Scholarship. During his two years in Congress, Cohen has worked on countless projects including the initiative for the United States to apologize for racial injustices due to slavery.
This lecture is sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers and the CBU Pre-Law Society. It is free and open to the public.
