Dr. Craig Anderson to Address Mid-South Psychology Conference at CBU

Memphis- The Behavioral Sciences department at Christian Brothers University (CBU) will hold the Mid-South Psychology Conference on Saturday, February 23, 2008. The key note speaker for the event is Dr. Craig A. Anderson from Iowa State University. Anderson's talk entitled "Video Game Effects on Prosocial and Antisocial Behavior" will take place on February 23 at 10:40 a.m. in the University Theater on the CBU campus.

Anderson, who holds a PhD in social psychology from Stanford University, is the first author of Anderson, C.A., Gentile, D.A., & Buckley, K.E. (2007) Violent video game effects on children and adolescents: Theory, research, and public policy. Anderson's very timely talk will focus on the potential negative effects, and scientific and public policy issues surrounding violent video games.
