CBU Awards Incoming Freshmen Plough Scholarship
Memphis - Christian Brothers University CBU) has awarded the 2007 Plough Scholarship to incoming freshmen, Matthew J. Warren and Kathleen E. Nelson.
Warren is a senior, valedictorian, and Knowledge Bowl captain at West Memphis High School. He is also an Eagle Scout. Warren plans to major in Engineering. Nelson is a senior and ranked #4 in her graduating class at Bolton High School. At CBU, she will be playing on the softball team as an outfielder for the Lady Bucs. Nelson is majoring in Biology and plans a career in Physical Therapy.
The Plough Scholarship is the most prestigious scholarship awarded to freshmen at CBU. The Plough Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship based on high academic standing, strong extracurricular activities, and leadership roles. A separate application and competitive interview process are required as part of qualifying for the award. ##
