Walsh and Trent to Report on Burma-Thai Refugees
Memphis- Meredith Walsh and Andrew Trent will be speaking at Christian Brothers University (CBU) about their experiences on the Burma-Thai border, working with internally displaced individuals, on Thursday, November 29 at 6:00 p.m. in Assisi Hall (formerly Science Building), Room 153. They will be sharing their first-hand experiences at the Mao Tao Clinic.
Walsh, a native Memphian, has been working with refugees in Thailand and Burma (Myanmar) for two years and was previously a member of the Peace Corps. She is a Minority Health International Research Training (MHIR) participant and served as a MHIRT summer research mentor for Andrew Trent, a second year medical student from the University of Tennessee at Memphis, this past summer.
